Hello. My name is Marc Thomas, and I live in Nantes, France. Since retiring (I was a mathematics teacher), I have become interested in the history of science, and my research has focused on the history of the slide rule, particularly during the 19th century, a period when French manufacturers made decisive improvements to this long-forgotten instrument. This is what I would like to present on this website. You will also find rare slide rules from my collection, mostly French ones from this period.
